Maintenance Manual

1. Everyday Use – Treat Your Chair Like a Friend

Your chair is designed to offer comfort and style for years to come. A few mindful habits will keep it looking and feeling its best:

  • Avoid excessive weight: Each chair is tested for safety and comfort, but please use it as intended.

  • Stable surfaces only: Place your chair on an even floor to prevent wobbling and strain on joints.

  • Indoor care for indoor chairs: Unless stated otherwise, our chairs are meant for indoor use only.

2. Cleaning & Maintenance

Fabric Upholstery

  • Regular Dusting: Use a soft brush or vacuum with an upholstery attachment once a week.

  • Spot Cleaning: Blot (don’t rub) spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth.

  • Deep Clean: Use a mild upholstery cleaner once every 6–12 months. Test on an inconspicuous area first.

Leather Upholstery

  • Dust & Wipe: Use a dry, soft cloth weekly.

  • Condition: Apply a leather conditioner every 6–12 months to keep it supple.

  • Avoid: Harsh detergents, alcohol-based cleaners, or prolonged sunlight exposure.

Wooden Frames

  • Dusting: Use a microfiber cloth weekly.

  • Polish: Apply a wood polish every few months to maintain lustre.

  • Protection: Keep away from radiators, fireplaces, and excessive humidity.

Metal Frames

  • Wipe: Use a damp cloth followed by a dry one.

  • Rust Prevention: For steel or iron components, ensure they remain dry; apply a protective coating if needed.

3. Placement & Environment

  • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure can cause fading or cracking.

  • Keep Away from Heat Sources: Radiators, heaters, and fireplaces can warp or damage materials.

  • Humidity Control: Maintain indoor humidity between 40–60% to prevent warping or mould.

4. Periodic Checks

  • Tighten Screws: Check and tighten bolts and screws every 6 months.

  • Inspect Joints: Ensure connections remain firm to prevent wobbling.

  • Replace Worn Pads: Chair leg pads protect your floors and your chair—replace when worn.

5. Storage

If you need to store your chair:

  • Clean and dry it thoroughly before storage.

  • Use a breathable furniture cover (avoid plastic wrap to prevent moisture build-up).

  • Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.

6. Warranty Reminder

Our chairs come with a 30-day free return policy and are built to last. Proper care ensures your chair remains under warranty and performs beautifully for years.
